Loving one unto repentance isn’t coated with substances, sweet.
HIS compassionate truths then are sharp to divide us from soul crushing sins.
So do not peddle love from the LORD as acceptance of ANY one’s actions — off course.
For HIS greatest affection keeps Heaven in view for all as we live HIS truths!
So rejoice in the bitter by HIS transforming WORD!
Yea, give praise for HIS sword removes dross — redirecting!
Thus drawing souls to repentance and “turning away”, let us love like the LORD does — with Truth!

Devotional: 1 John 4:9-10 “In this the love of GOD was made manifest among us, that GOD sent HIS only SON into the world, so that we might live through HIM.
In this is love, not that we have loved GOD but that HE loved us and sent HIS SON to be the propitiation for our sins.”
“Tough love” shouldn’t be defined by our thoughts. Repenting from sin AND turning away from it is a painful activity.
It’s ongoing too…as we still have our old sin nature!
So don’t minimize how difficult that can be for so many!
As such, because the world’s demand for fake, sugary tolerance of sin is in DIRECT OPPOSITION to GOD’s truths…
…we must not swerve from what HE says!
John 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”
Therefore! We love best and correctly when we trust and act on what’s plainly written in the Bible — without retranslating HIS words to placate the world.
HIS sugar is pure, healthy and best for our souls so accept no other!
