Attending to Life!

Psalm 82:3 “Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute!”

Attending to Life!

Are we still found faithful in small things after larger ones fill our lives?

For instance, would we minimize the life of a tiny, baby animal that’s injured just to make sure we get to some entertainment activity…on time?

Does the small butterfly, fluttering against the window trying to get outside gain our helping hand or swatting palm?

Since HE is faithful to all of HIS Creation, both big and small, let us walk likewise and offer the helping hand to all…even the least of these.

As HIServant re-reminded to hold all life dear, especially of those who cannot speak for themselves,

Devotional: Exodus 22:22-23 “You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to ME, I will surely hear their cry…”

Proverbs 10:12 “
Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his animal, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.”

Recently my family found a very tiny, baby squirrel that was cold and wet and had been injured.

They got a cardboard box and put a heating pad inside with minature bowls of water and bits of food.

When Sherry first told me of this, I felt immediate sadness and prayed for the little life to be spared.

It was breathing but wouldn’t move and seemed frightened as it was far from wherever Home was and far from its parents.

So I thought about you and me. We’re far from the shorelines of Heaven in this instant.

But when that Trumpet sounds, we will be healed, whole, transformed and with our FATHER GOD!

If HE individually calls us home beforehand, like the baby squirrel, then what Joy to see our CREATOR at last!

Matthew 6:26 “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly FATHER feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

So care for the widow, the orphan and the “baby squirrels” all around us…just as our FATHER does for us!

Amen and amen!
