Purposed and Sent!

Psalm 139:14 “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”

Purposed and Sent!

What it takes a warrior to do means another might not. What HIS preachers can share, some others cannot.

Where a servant is sent then depends on
GOD’s gifting, HIS sovereign intentions and purposed provisions.

But one must proceed without Self’s hesitations; Yea absent of pauses and every cessation.

‘Tis thus since CHRIST’s call in this present is zealous WHOSE will remains flawless! HIS draw is relentless!

So err to HIS side which inspires one’s action and breathe in The SPIRIT, most holy and active!

As just one of HIServants drawn daily to lift up HIS NAME with great praise,

Devotional: Ephesians 4:11-13 “And it was HE WHO gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

12 to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of CHRIST,

13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the SON of GOD, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of CHRIST.”

These verses coupled with reading the account of how David Wilkerson’s steadfast preaching got through to demonically driven gang member Nicky Cruz…inspired this devotional offering.

I hadn’t been aware that Nicky’s hatred of the JESUS David preached was so great that he beat up the preacher in the middle of the street and in front of 300 witnesses.

But the zeal of the LORD spoke through David to share the heart of CHRIST.

Nicky reflects: “And this is the most important piece of news David Wilkerson has ever given me. And I approached him and started beating him.

I wouldn’t let him go. He couldn’t get rid of me easily. I cursed him, his GOD and everything in this world.
Like a wild animal, I jumped on him, grabbed his hair and started banging his head against the wall. Just like my mom did me.

But this guy, ignoring the pain and the blood, said in the middle of the street in the presence of three hundred witnesses:

“Nicky, I’m not scared.” I came here to tell you the news from heaven I came to tell you Nicky, JESUS loves you! “And when he told me that, I backed out.

I got my eyes on him. And he said, “If you want, you can kill me and I know that you can.

But even if you kill me and cut me up into a thousand pieces and scatter them across the street, remember: each piece will scream at you: “Nicky, JESUS loves you!”

If we pause to look at the different training GOD gives to souls like Nicky and like Paul the Apostle, we’ll soon realize HIS sovereign sending is tied to HIS equipping.

The known phrase is this: “GOD never gives a mission without HIS provision.”

Truth! So who would have been sent to the Gentiles if not someone GOD had taught the Law to extensively?

Who better to be sent to Nicky’s fellow gang members than a former gang member?

As such, request GOD’s wisdom and with zeal, press forward ever expectant of HIS giftings — whether you see them yet — or not!

So let us sincerely ask ourselves THIS every morning.

“My LORD, who have YOU purposed me to witness to today? Amen?

Amen!
