Our SHEPHERD’s Presence!
HIS bridge and cross
for us as sheep
might simple seem
our path to follow.
But from HIS narrow
road we stray, a feat
too soon gained
each Tomorrow.
For without pow’r to
lead ourselves,
nor get our food and
needed water…
SO dependent then
we are on CHRIST
alone, our SHEPHERD
FATHER.
How clear this picture
is then: We cannot
sustain ourselves!
Therefore cling to GOD
WHO bound us through
HIS SON…back to HIMSELF!

Devotional: Psalm 119:176 “I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek YOUR servant, for I do not forget your commandments.”
I posted a video today called “CHRIST, the Soul Shepherd.”
Please watch it as the man who did it lives in Israel and studied the Bedouin shepherds there.
Point being: The shepherds there cannot leave their flocks because the sheep cannot fend for themselves.
They can’t find food for themselves.
They can’t find water by themselves.
They are helpless. Period.
Except for the SHEPHERD WHO seeks the Lost and watches over HIS own all the time, the relentless wolves would kill us.
But the wolves, when they’re looking to attack, if they pass by the scent of the shepherd, they’ll look around for him and then leave.
They fear humans. When they sense the scent of the SHEPHERD, they stop.
How much more so their fear of GOD!
James 2:19 “You believe that GOD is ONE; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!”
Side note for anyone not believing in the Trinity…even the demons know and believe that GOD is Triune!
So I think again of the beautiful Bible verse about this subject.
1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the CROSS is to them that perish, foolishness;
…but to them that ARE saved, that is, to us, it is the power of GOD!”
And John 10:11. “I AM the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down HIS life for the sheep.”
HIS plan in Eternity past, was to save HIS sheep and HE has through the Cross.
Surrender then to HIS way alone and follow the LORD relentlessly till HE comes!
