Proverbs 11:2 “When
pride comes, then
comes disgrace, but
with the humble is
wisdom.”
Humility’s Peak!

Whenever walls of Pride
are breached, how
quickly does the Flesh
reply!
It rallies to rebuild them
thus as wayward Zeal’s
errant crime!
So why, oh Self, with
bricks in hand…do you
rebel in earnest?
Yea, why do you restore
such pride whose depth
is only surface?
Rather! Like the
mountains GOD rained
down, as all the stones
of Jericho…
…so be alike in every
way! Prostrate with
praise — remaining low!
As HIServant reminded
to both bow and remain
lower in reverence to
our GOD and KING,

Devotional: James 4:10 “Humble yourselves before the LORD, and HE will exalt you.”
Have you ever watched someone in a position above you at work at thought, “I can do that!”
Most of us have. But the learning curve we assume to understand is often longer and more challenging.
Recently I took on a new role at my work. In like manner with this devotional, I’ve quickly learned that my lofty assumptions of effort were incorrect.
1st Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of GOD so that at the proper time HE may exalt you…”
My pride had been in what I thought I could do and I’ve been learning how much I still need to learn. As such!
Cognizantly being humbled, being made aware that what you once held as accurate in your mind was indeed wrong…is a great blessing. Why?
Because teamwork shines forth and it reminds us of the body of CHRIST example.
The blessed comparison being that we are Heaven’s fabric, hand-woven together by GOD, to support each other.
Again this new role has been an extremely eye-opening experience …but it’s one that I now relish greatly.
Let us all be quick to learn, quick to serve, quick to listen and quickest to admit being wrong. For then!
THEN GOD can use us greatest in our new roles and established obligations without our pride getting in HIS Way of working through us for our own good.
Micah 6:8 “HE has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your GOD?”
Serve then, oh Self, with all humility and speed to be more like CHRIST each day.
Amen and amen!
