Psalm 145:18 “The LORD is near to all who call on HIM, to all who call on HIM in truth.”
Nearer, my GOD!
As opposed to one foot in front of the other; “two steps behind” meets with Sin.
One progresses, two decline so when following GOD, we must keep our pace just with HIS.
Do not then assume the Shepherds’ return for the one who had strayed meant in any way approval…
…as if to digress by thinking GOD doesn’t care! Oh how errant a thoughtless maneuver!
Rather run with the LORD without gap nor decline; daily measure each space unfulfilled.
For this is HIS truth! The closer you walk with ME shall make your thoughts…nearer still!

Two points: Out from the heart the mouth speaks.
And! Anyone can go through the motions yet be light years away from the LORD.
But when we walk in Faith believing HIM WHO has promised, many times our thoughts are stretched and strengthened AS we see HIM move.
Then! As we keep pace WITH CHRIST, our minds are further stayed upon HIM and our confidence grows.
Therefore, oh self!
Trust him for the next step which you cannot see, and once you can reflect upon HIS blessed intervention,
…tell others what HE’s done and is STILL doing for you.
Be HIS most willing witness, oh my soul, in every and ALL situations!
