James 4:8a “Draw near to GOD, and HE will draw near to you.”
Nearer…till Then!
LORD show us the “When?” of YOUR way leading home.
Compel us with sight found from “reading” YOU close.”
Oh the wisdom we learn from YOUR WORD! What embrace!
Oh the joy of YOUR peace, endless mercy and grace!
So gaze we intently upon open Scripture
…to feel YOUR heart closest! So draw us, LORD! Nearer!
As HIServant clinging to HIS every word in The WORD as such,

Devotional: Psalm 145:18 “The LORD is near to all who call on HIM, to all who call on HIM in truth.”
It’s not just saying HIS NAME briefly that brings the Fire.
It’s calling out zealously in truth and humility.
And what of Isaiah 55:6? “Seek the LORD while HE may be found; call on HIM while HE is near.“
When we are weak, when we admit we are and don’t lean on our own understanding, we can seek HIM most clearly.
VIP!! Note the seeking precedes calling on HIM! Why?
Because we are flesh and often call out at the first sign or trouble or pain.
But as the crushing of grapes produces the liquid of the fruit…
…so the challenges we face with CHRIST in Faith will produce the outpouring of the HOLY SPIRIT…through us!
And back again to James 4:8a “Draw near to GOD, and HE will draw near to you.”
How? Through Prayer?
Yes.
Through worship and praise? Yes.
But! Only through diligent study of the Bible do we “hear” HIS voice undeniably calling us to draw nearer to HIM!
It’s not as easy as listening to music. It’s not as simple as praying for a few minutes and moving on.
But GOD! The reward of pressing in diligently is unmatched!
So solemnly first seek HIM and THEN, when in HIS presence…
…call out with boldness and zeal on the NAME of YAHWEH to draw nearest to our soils!
Therefore! Draw ye ever closer to GOD till that moment CHRIST splits the skies to take us home!
