1 Timothy 1:15 “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that CHRIST JESUS came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.”
The Broken Role!

To claim chief “of the good guys” is worse than “of sinners”…
as one viewpoint is pride while the other — surrender.
Thus confession of soul then is drastically different…
when brokenness reigns which CHRIST solely restores.
In contrast, the “sinless” (at least by their measure)…
share use words — sugar coated — to camouflage Truth.
So speak from the heart then as Paul whom GOD humbled;
proclaiming our roles to be servants — supreme!
As HIServant ever reminded and reminding to chase Humility with trembling,
Whitney
Devotional: Isaiah 66:2 “All these things MY hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the LORD.”
“But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at MY WORD.”
What if someone came to you and said, “I’m chief of the humble!”?
Naturally we’d look at them and ask what they made such a claim.
So Isaiah 57:15 comes to mind as we’ll.
“For thus says the ONE WHO is high and lifted up, WHO inhabits eternity, whose name is HOLY:”
“I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
…to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
Psalm 51:17 “The sacrifices of GOD are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O GOD, YOU will not despise.”
So! HIS WORD cannot be any clearer. Wisdom declares the heart of GOD in Proverbs 8:13.
“The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.”
GOD continues to make HIS point in Proverbs 16:18.
“Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Also Proverbs 26:12 “Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.“
Let us then be swift to admit Error, to confess CHRIST and to serve relentlessly — without Pride!
Amen and amen.
