Full Service Balance!

Galatians 6:9 “Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Full Service Balance!

Glory to GOD; yea, hallow HIS NAME. Be quick to speak up, every servant!

So cast off complaints; replace them with praise and fill the air ‘round you with worship.

Be found now in flight, full serving the CHRIST; uplifting each soul who is listening!

As HIServant daily reminded and reminding to renew our full service in HIS NAME,

Whitney

Devotional: Galatians 5:13 “For you were called to freedom, brothers.”

“Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

Question: Is our service for the LORD to be done out of fear and obligation or!

Or is it to be pursued knowing the joy of the LORD is ours, by daily doing HIS will through love

Well, the second one, amen? But the “drum beat” of “Go serve GOD and go do this and get involved with that!” can become weighty.

So we must be balanced in our service with the multiple and often changing priorities from day to day.

How so? By first starting with prayer and asking for HIS directions.

By studying HIS employee manual for us (The Bible) and applying HIS instructions.

Which are found in the fruits of the SPIRIT! (Galatians 5)

They are : Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering (Patience), Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness (Humility), and Self-control (Temperance).

Anxiety and Worry often creep into our walk with GOD when we try to do too much…

…sometimes taking on causes or challenges we haven’t even prayed about.

So, much like a to-do list, by baselining all of tasks against how much energy and time we have…

…we’ll have a clear picture of what to spiritually prioritize.

First is to be well fed from HIS WORD to then be ready and able to feed others.

Next is to pray with others and encourage them.

For over 30 years I’ve been privileged with the activity of voicemail prayer.

What I’ve found is that doing such encourages myself and blesses others as well.

As we’re driving, waiting for someone, etc etc…

we can send out a word of uplifting many times during the week.

By having close communications with the LORD throughout the day,

…our burdens are lightened…as HE gives us peace in each storm.

Let us cast off the old nature’s tendencies to complain, fear, worry and doubt, amen?

So let us, oh Self… balance and prioritize our spiritual days with greater levels of the fruits of the SPIRIT outpoured!

Amen and amen.
