The Soul questioned Discipline. “Where did you go? HIS WORD is spelled out, HIS footprints — well known.”
The reply soon was heard. “Friend, I’ve always been here…like CHRIST. So my “absence” proves your present fears!
You let most foolish Flesh lead you far astray…tripping over yourself; stumbling lost and afraid.
Discard thus your ways, oh my soul — all disorder — while saving “next steps” to be placed…in HIS order!

Devotional: Jeremiah 10:23 “I know, O LORD, that a man’s way is not his own; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps”.
Psalm 37:24 “When he falls, he shall not be ruined: for the LORD supports his hand.”
When our flesh falls backwards, it is because we value something other than our SAVIOUR.
But when we deeply agonize about gossiping, being hateful, ”white-lying”, or any other sin as well, it is a tell-tale sign that remorse is present.
When such sins are repeated and such confessions are “re-voiced”,
…even past the point of self-injury, then despair often gravely plagues that soul.
But GOD!! HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST, completely paid our sin debt.
HE knows our frailties and calls us to lean on HIM and not our own understanding!
So let us humble ourselves daily and willfully then…in the liberty that HE eternally bought for us!
Yes! Let us live as who we are — free indeed!
John 8:36 “So if the SON sets you free, you shall be free indeed.”
