Torn Between!
We want YOU, LORD
with less of “me”
with each step taken. Yea, as we breathe!
For how much angst
with longing weighs us
to see YOUR face! Oh come, LORD JESUS!
Thus unfulfilled, leave not our frames; our
ache for THEE cries
out THY NAME!
So with YOUR heart
now touch these souls
with greatest Hope
until we go…
…into the Heav’ns
to hold THEE, LORD
for YOU are our desire!

Devotional: Philippians 1:22-24 “But if I go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. So what shall I choose? I do not know.
23 But I am torn between the two. I desire to depart and be with CHRIST, which is far better indeed!
24 But it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.”
This moment by moment struggle strains our hearts every day.
We long to be with JESUS but because we yet remain here, there’s work to be done.
Paul made this clearest in the passages above, amen?
We long to return Home but many are here who need our thread beside them, lifting them up to our SAVIOUR.
So let us rise with great and increasing Joy as HE draws us to Heaven through these service days on Earth!
