1 Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.”
HIS WORDS! > mine

What ”manner of speaking” requires Sin’s words?
What must be expressed from such errant reserves?
For if one “has to” use language fouled — premature…
…then how can their thoughts, which precede, be found pure?
SO! Guard now your mind and your heart before speaking by trusting HIS WORDS…
are for you!!

Devotional: John 1:14 “And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen HIS glory, glory as of the only SON from the FATHER, full of grace and truth.”
We use different words through life often driven mostly because of our age.
When we’re young, we speak as a child.
But as we get older with both good and bad experiences, our language choices increase.
So a phrase a small child doesn’t use is “In a manner of speaking”.
Defined: It is used to say that a statement is true or accurate in a certain way even if it is NOT literally or completely true.”
Such a comment is an adult phrase and often employed to gain an outcome based on not entirely accurate words.
So note that CHRIST doesn’t say “in a manner of speaking”!
Rather! HE says, I AM the WAY, the TRUTH, the LIFE AND!!
JESUS is THE WORD!!
So surrender your vocabulary to GOD, reading Scripture daily with diligent study…
…and use the language of our LORD!
Amen and amen!
