Her Endless Melody!
While bicycling through a bustling town, the gaze of a thirty-some woman was gently captured by an elderly couple.
They too were pedaling along the sidewalks within this very active collective of people.
Slowing to keep pace behind them, so she noticed their much older bike was larger and stronger then her own. Also noted was that only the husband was propelling the wheels.
For theirs was a bicycle built for two though not inline. Rather, they sat side by side in a metal-mixed-with-wooden sidecar…if you will.
So with this vision before the youthful woman, she gradually stopped at a short distance to watch them pause before the next intersection.
While other human threads spun past them and yet others were woven in slow motion, this elderly pair displayed remarkable focus on each other.
Their undiminished, weathered smiles brightened each other like nothing she’d ever seen and though no words were shared, perfect love was far evident beyond any measure!
She soon found herself irresistibly drawn to their authentic beacon of antiquated yet powerful light.
Now standing behind them and slightly to the right side, she could both see and feel their inner glow.
As if plugged directly into this intersection of their sacred union, she felt strengthened for her journey ahead.
This new found surge lifted her spirits and her feet as she again began pedaling forward.
“What a precious couple!” she mused. “Thank YOU, GOD, for giving me this experience!”
But before a single wheel spoke had turned, she faintly overhead the woman…singing! Where no words had appeared to be exchanged, much less echoed, now!
NOW, with a fragile yet firm zeal, she was lifting her voice in a melody! As her husband loving looked down into her steadfast gaze she sang…
“I have a song that JESUS gave me,
It was sent from Heav’n above;
There never was a sweeter melody,
‘Tis a melody of love!”
Tears then slipped from the
eyes of both singer
and listener and together
they sang the chorus!
“In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody with
Heaven’s harmony!
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody of…love!”

Over my four plus decades of writing, I’ve been privileged to catch varied glimpses of people where GOD writes me a summary story of theirs to later put down on paper.
I don’t know where the story leads but as I keep praying…the words get connected to each other. Now HE’s proven to me countless times how I’m just a vessel.
I could go into great lengths explaining how many times HE’s humbled me with another vision which blesses me greatly…even if for no other.
So my encouragement to all is to see the beauty of GOD’s creation in humaning, being made in HIS image, to then bless and uplift others through creative ways which mirror HIS love song for us!
