Revelation 7:9 “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count,
…from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the LAMB,
…clothed in WHITE ROBES, and palm branches were in their hands.”
Given HIS Robe!
Naked came we into this world yet covered shall we leave…
…for the blood of CHRIST both cleansed and coats our souls! To WHOM — we cleave!
Devoid of all that’s stained by Flesh, so clothed we shall go home…
…in HIS robes of righteousness returned to HIM WHO loves our souls!

Devotional: Isaiah 61:10 “I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my GOD,
…for HE has clothed me with the garments of salvation; HE has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
…as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
…and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
CHRIST willingly shed HIS own blood to cleanse our souls with
HIS righteousness.
Such is the robe and wedding clothes necessary to enter into Heaven!
Matthew 5:20 “For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
So earthly works and physical clothing are entirely insufficient.
Look at Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, “‘LORD, LORD’, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of MY FATHER WHO is in heaven.”
On that day many will say to me, ‘LORD, LORD, did we not prophesy in YOUR NAME, and cast out demons in YOUR NAME, and do many mighty works in YOUR NAME?’
And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.”
Did you catch the last few words there? “You WORKERS of lawlessness.” How ironic and just at the same time!
Trying to keep all the laws and believing then that our own works should be added to the Cross is complete error.
It’s the height of rejecting HIS finished and wholly sufficient work done at Calvary!
Also consider Matthew 22:11-13 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he spotted a man who was not dressed in wedding clothes.
12 ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’
But the man was speechless.”
13 Then the king told the servants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
We can ONLY be approved by HIS blood cleansing and by being clothed with CHRIST as our Perfect Sacrifice and risen SAVIOUR.
Our good works don’t earn Heaven; they’re our outward display signifying WHO we are serving…WHO did pay it all for us!
Look at the Father of the Prodigal son when the wayward child returned.
Luke 15:22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet!”
The sinful son who represents all of us didn’t clothe himself!
The FATHER has done the same for us with the glorious righteousness of HIS Perfect SON!
So let us follow the instruction of Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Seek CHRIST, chase CHRIST, serve CHRIST and rest in HIS glorious robes for Eternity! Hallelu-YAH!
