Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”
Sailing Still…Until CHRIST!

“Land Ho!” cried the sailor,
both wearied and broken.
With hopes beyond battered;
sails tattered and torn.
“Land Ho!” was their shout
once again heard – uplifted…
while others had slept through
the midst of the storms.
But that soul still stood watch;
HIServant – committed…
who’d waited for GOD’s promised
shores all their days!
Through shipwrecked of hopes
and through waves almost tidal,
still onward they’d pressed
with heart glowing – ablaze!’
Thus faced forward – unyielding, at Faith’s greatest height…here I stand without fanfare, awaiting The CHRIST!
And should such attention
cause some to reject me,
know this elder sailor keeps
going, keeps sailing!
Yea, so shall it be for my
family and Self since for HIM
we are watching with zeal…
…unfailing!
As HIServant, fellow sailor and faith-driven son,

Devotional: Luke 12:37 “Blessed are those servants whom The MASTER finds awake when HE comes.”
“Truly, I say to you, HE will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and HE will come and serve them.”
“Being found awake” or “watching” means so many different things to so many people. For some, it’s just “I’m a CHRISTian. I know HE is coming back.” And that’s it.
There’s no real watching in the doctrine of eminence (HE can come any time) that I grew up believing. It’s easy belief-ism.
Now! It’s not that those not watching aren’t saved or are bad or anything like that. Not at all. But there’s no attention given so there’s lesser focus by sheer definition.
And we see in Revelation 1:3 above that we were already told the time was near! As such, the verse which the scoffers and mockers live out today is found in 2nd Peter 3:2-4.
“…you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the LORD and SAVIOUR through your apostles, 3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.
4 They will say, “Where is the promise of HIS coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”
This is dovetails with the often MISUSED verse, Matthew 24:36 “”But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the SON, but only the FATHER.”” THAT’s HIS second coming to Earth, NOT HIS rapture which happens in the skies.
So choosing to eagerly watch daily makes sense when we realize that CHRIST is coming for an EXPECTANT bride. Not a sleeping bride. Not a complacent bride.
Not a bride who casually or defiantly explains away their lack of focus on our pending and then Eternal wedding with CHRIST!
As such, may we never play semantics or fall into the chains of wanting to stay here as long as we want. GOD knows the exact millisecond, amen? So may our eyes never fall off from actively, daily and relentlessly watching for our LORD!
Amen and amen.
