Ephesians 6:24 “Grace to all who love our LORD JESUS CHRIST with an undying love.”
What Death to Self Births!
What love is CHRIST’s which bought our souls;
What grace HE brings our journey!
What Hope – GOD’s guarantee – now ours
to grow in with HIS Mercy!
Thus all begins where Death precedes;
with full, unbridled Forfeit…
Where we no longer walk with Pride
in Self nor go before HIM!
So may this one request be raised by one
whose “death” has witnessed Life?
May such a great petition be now heard
from one who “died”?
Please shed all craving for what dies, both
things and thoughts which perish!
Rather stand in HIM WHOSE Death brought
Breath to all who lift this prayer!
LORD GOD, my KING and SAVIOUR – THEE
surrendered is all I’m made of…
…to give YOU every thanks as such
through my undying love!

Devotional: Luke 9:23 “And HE was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after ME, he must deny (and die to) himself, and take up his cross daily and follow ME.”
John 3:30 “HE must increase, but I must decrease.”
With earthly measuring sticks, our flesh often idolizes something. Whether position, power, material wealth and more, we do err without daily focus on our SAVIOUR.
The recent passing of my mother into Heaven reminded me just how quickly one can go.
Meaning: Go from looking and acting well in this life to the eternal Joy and rest that’s only found in Glory in a few short hours.
So it’s her example of selflessness and sacrifice which found her studying the Bible daily…that sparks this devotional.
May we be like-minded and shed our faith in what’s seen and devote all to HIM WHO is worthy of all praise!
