Ever Ride Ready!
Over two hundred fifty
years past did he ride,
bringing warning to
those round about.
“Rise! The British are
coming and soon their
drums drumming shall
beat in your ears.
They are near now, awake!”
So Paul Revere rode on
a horse down those
roads…
with most urgent his
cry, filled with Zeal.
“Let us rise and be
going because their
fires glowing will soon
reach your eyesight!
See each flickering torch!
And many were readied
— already prepared
and decisively rose,
joined with weapons.
So the men went to
battle to keep
Freedom’s mantle
upheld and uplifted…
…as Victory’s banner.
So too must we also, alongside
of JESUS, joining HIM WHO has already won!
Yes awaken you faithful;
and cease to enable
all sin found returning!
Now ride…and tell all!

Devotional: Philemon 1:6 “And I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of CHRIST.”
In the Revolutionary War against the British, they came overseas to crush those they called rebels to their kingdom.
Sin, in like manner, arises at any hour it feels it can best attack.
Those it catches off guard then suffer the loss of freedom in CHRIST until they once again fight Sin’s advances.
As a type of Paul Revere then, we are to ride out and tell all to be readied against the return of Sin.
Tolerate no such part of it and be zealous against complacent thoughts which would sabotage your calling!
So awake now, being ever ride ready; and share HIS WORD till HE comes!
Psalm 96:3 “Declare HIS glory among the nations, HIS marvelous works among all the peoples!
