Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.”
Of Everlasting Value!

Almost all they’d
gathered as valuable
“someday”…differed
vastly depending on
Time.
What was new became
old. Thus “worth
keeping” — debated.
Yet how great their
collection kept growing!
As such. things which
faded much faster “still
stayed”…adding onto
each other as layers.
Packing “dust upon
dust” till as
“camouflaged fabric”,
so their home became
Ripley’s museum.
“Believe it or Not!” really
wasn’t an option for
such “increase” just
brought decreased Value.
So “Hopeless!” things
seemed through the
years in between…until
later in Life, Worth
returned!
But this was much
more than a physical
crossroads. Yea..far
beyond measuring
price tags.
We’re CHRIST bought,
I tell you; our LORD lost
no value!
Our unmerited Gains are
found proved by HIS WORD.
So bank just on HIM…for
your greatest return!
As HIServant “investing” always with JESUS into the bank of Heaven,
Whitney
Devotional: Matthew 25:27 “Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at MY coming I should have received what was MY own with interest.”
Any parent that stores up things as though they’re all priceless jewels should reflect honestly on Scripture.
Luke 12:16-21 “And HE told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully,
17 and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’
18 And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.”’
20 But GOD said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?
21 So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward GOD.”
Now there are varying compelling reasons for gathering excess.
Greed, worry of Lack, some sort of Comfort being surrounded by items, their own parents were “Collectors” so they’ve adopted the same behavior. Etc. Etc. Etc.
But such is most often just clutter and the value they’d assigned it is inflated far beyond reality.
Spiritually this is even MORE important!
Gathering in meetings, investing in being SEEN instead of sacrificially serving behind the SCENES…
…mistaking church activity for relational depth with our SAVIOUR…is the worst type of hoarding.
The LORD GOD has given us each talents with which to serve HIM.
Even when we serve HIM diligently in the spiritual realm, clutter and chaos in the earthly and physical realm WILL delay and diminish the returns we’ll receive.
Going further, such a lack of organization will limit what work we can do for others! No collection is ever worth that limitation!
So Matthew 6:20: “But lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.”
Let us bask in John 5:24 in closing. “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”
Invest for Heaven by sharing all you know about JESUS with others…every day!
Amen and amen.
