Hebrews 4:12 “For the WORD of GOD is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
With HIS Whetsone WORD!
What if one’s point of view is so dulled
that nothing feels certain?
What if when sacrifice comes to call?
Will they fall on their cross and bow down?
The vision of CHRIST through our eyes then
leads us to bend the heart:
To cast off every thought for oneself
with Surrender to fully be found.
But times often come when our strength
feels so low beyond “Lacking!”
Where our will cannot bear one more loss
and all Hope seems almost wholly lost.
Even then! Hear me now, oh my Soul;
Be sharpened by HIS whetstone WORD!
Else none will gain impact though hearing…
and none shall bow also with you.
Though some might complain when the Gospel
is shared in their presence…
do not be one whose words prick no heart.
Choose to calmly present HIS Good News!
For HIS wondrous message which saves for
Eternity’s span…
will be welcomed by those whose ways turned!
So keep sharp with your faith…and press through!

A whetstone is an abrasive stone used to sharpen knives. While iron sharpens iron, we are sharpened by the continual reading of HIS WORD which hones our delivery.
The sharp and dividing point of the Gospel, separating trusting in Self from just trusting in CHRIST, will be minimized greatly if we permit complacency to linger within us.
So with each page turn of HIS WORD then be sharpened! Gain such knowledge and boldness from CHRIST alone and press on. Yea, press through!
