Our Race for The ONE!

Ephesians 6:12 “ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Our Race for The ONE!

We begin at the starting line

or will become disqualified.

For Justice, so that fairness wins,

this rule is not debated.

But GOD in all HIS sovereignty

uniquely chose our starting points

And by design gave each their race

to chase HIM through this life.

So worry not who’s on your right

nor at your left — competing.

Rather! Stay the course and run

your best with CHRIST WHO…

never leaves us!

As HIServant getting up today to give HIM my every attention while HIS will has me still running this race,

Devotional: (Matthew 20:1-16), This passage is where a landowner hired laborers at different times, including midday, paying everyone the same full day’s wage.

What a beautiful picture!.

GOD’s grace gives those who come to GOD later in life the same reward of Eternity with HIM.

It highlights HIS generous, non-merit-based rewards, which contrast human expectations with CHRIST’s divine fairness.

So both the workers hired at noon and 3 PM also received a full day’s pay. That’s comforting to those again, who come to believe in JESUS later in their lives!

For if it’s merit based then we’d all need more time than HE designed for man! We can’t pay our sin debt in any way!

This also shows us that HE drew and thus knew people would believe in HIM at different times. Meaning: How many heard the Gospel message on several occasions over the years and didn’t repent?

But GOD! When they finally did, imagine then it was the noon or even the 3pm period.

So the soul that weeps for the lost years not following JESUS… does so because they know HIS sovereign fairness still grants them Salvation!

Another point to embrace here is that our competitors aren’t other people! And as Scripture tells us, we wrestle not against flesh and blood! Ephesians 6:12 highlights this for us.

When we remember that our struggle isn’t with human beings (“flesh and blood”) but with organized, unseen spiritual adversaries, then spiritual warfare takes on a whole new meaning.

These supernatural foes shoot arrows of Complacency, Anger, and all such things at us and that delays our progress for JESUS!

So study HIS WORD, stay close with the lines and avoid any gray area which presents itself as your foundation.

Pray to and lift praise for HIM then, finishing your course at full strength.

Amen and amen!
