Devotional: Hebrews 6:1 “Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of CHRIST and go on to maturity,
…not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward GOD…”
So, who would like to be called mature or…still a child? Who wants to be called an adult versus being known as childish?
Actually it’s beyond what we want. It’s to WHERE we are called! To climb higher, study deeper and pray diligently. Actions which are not steeped in religious rites / dead routine.
We are secure in CHRIST! But those who clearly turn back from the appearance of belief,
those who’ve seen GOD moving and chose not to submit to HIS ways…
…such have no confidence of Heaven at all.
GOD knows who are HIS and anyone with the HOLY SPIRIT can’t live a peaceful life.
HIS SPIRIT will check us and if HE is grieved by our actions, then we will be corrected.
Surrendered advancement then is committing every step ahead to the outline of HIS feet.
Let us dig deep with further study, more open displays of HIS compassion and greater time spent in sacrificial prayer on behalf of others.
HE’s designed us perfectly for growth so let’s fill out every space in our vessels with sincere devotion to YAHWEH. Amen?
