Blocking for Others!
Protect us against every
enemy force;
redirect every weapon
they carry.
As we breathe out
YOUR WORD,
swords of Fire
exhaling…
we see YOUR great
power — prevailing!
So CHRISTian soldier,
press into this battle;
with HIS armor step
forward…emboldened!
Serving well till HE
comes without
shrinking nor running…
be HIS shield for
someone who is
stumbling!

Devotional: Isaiah 61:1 “The SPIRIT of the LORD GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor;
HE has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound…”
Well knowing Scripture then is the key to being well prepared for helping others and for battle. The devil relentlessly shoots fiery darts at us and with an active shield of faith, we can effectively block them.
But it’s not just about blocking the demonic spears from harming ourselves. Our obligation as brothers and sisters in CHRIST requires we extend our shields for others.
Not everyone has memorized verses from HIS Holy WORD and as such, they’re less than prepared. Less than “well armed”.
So rise with a loving defense of those in the Body of CHRIST! Rise for those who have stumbled or fallen and need the heart of their FATHER to assist through our hands!
Amen and amen.
