Chain-Free Advocates!

2 Peter 2:19 “They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.”

Chain-Free Advocates!

What present corruption both festers and spews through this world!

Those chained unto Darkness
by godless affection… do not want GOD’s SPIRIT to move them!

Thus their surge of absent Repentance increases with Folly.

Wanting none of HIS light,
they stay chained to their sins…
and desire you also wear shackles.

So heed not the Complacent
calls coming from shadows.
Incline not your ear to smooth
speech which ensnares!

Instead break each bondage
which others put on you…
and bind not yourself in Sin’s chair!

As HIServant breaking off those chains satan desires I would wear and also interceding for those whose lukewarm status is becoming enslavement,

Devotional: Mark 3:27 “But no one can go into a strong man’s house and steal his property unless he first overpowers and ties up the strong man, and then he will ransack and rob his house.”

So coupled with 2 Peter 2:19, we’re talking about overcoming. Either being overcome or, having torn off the enemy’s chains, now overcoming for CHRIST.

The strongman defined in Scripture is none other than satan. But I’d like us to look at the passage in Mark specifically.

As CHRISTians, we don’t need to bind up satan and then rob him perse. GOD owns everything!

But to TAKE BACK what the devil has stolen, then! Then we need to be strong and free in the NAME of JESUS and by the NAME of JESUS!

There’s so many things that get stolen from us, amen? Peace, Joy, Contentment, Provision, Happiness, and the list grows on and on.

But whatever he has taken from you, we need to be sure that his chains aren’t preventing us from taking back what is ours.

What chains could that refer to?

Unrepentant and continued sin.
Bad habits that corrupt others.

Willingly being a tool of satan’s
for a simple gain or pleasure at
the cost of our witness.

Loving Complacency over being
forward found in the battle.

And it is a daily war, my friends.

So cast off every chain of darkness and every cord that doesn’t bind us closer to CHRIST.

Let us be “chain-free” ourselves and then zealous advocates for the freedom, (The only REAL and most valuable Freedom) of other found solely by surrendering all to JESUS.

Amen and amen.
