Matthew 27:29 “And twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on HIS head and put a reed in HIS right hand. And kneeling before HIM, they mocked HIM, saying, “Hail, KING of the Jews!”
Three Times, ONE!
HIS blood first shed for
us came when the
Romans flogged HIM.
Next came the crown of
thorns they forced
upon HIS brow.
At last upon the Cross
where nail and spear
pierced through
HIS skin.
So in a trio of events
HE intervened where
we’d be standing!
Thus tasting Death for
fallen man, HE chose
the grave for three
days timing.
HE then arose – our
guilty souls – to save
from Hell fire.
Let us rise as such and
come each Dawn with
zealous longing…
…since HE paid for
bankrupt servants —
undeserving!
Now let our lives be
filled with praise and
great thanksgiving!
To serve each heart
which hungers for
GOD’s saving graces.
Then they’ll know HIS
love shed blood
not once but three
times on that Day…
…and seven times in total
as payment made in
full for Sin!
So wholly serve, Beloved…
just as JESUS gave!

Devotional: John 19:1 “Then Pilate took JESUS and flogged HIM.”
“Three Times, ONE!” also reminds that CHRIST only died once for sin.
But in three different locations on the day HE was crucified, HIS blood flowed where ours should have.
So HE suffered verbal abuse, physical attack and finally the temporal death on the Cross…from which HE rose again!
By this HE completed the FATHER’s requirement in full!
What praise we should give to our SAVIOUR, amen?
So remember that HIS sacrifice started long before Calvary.
But HE kept choosing us and kept going and still does.
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with CHRIST. It is no longer I who live, but CHRIST WHO lives in me.
And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the SON of GOD, WHO loved me and gave HIMSELF for me.”
Hallelujah LORD, for YOUR eternal love for us!
