Proverbs 19:17 “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and HE will repay him for his deed.”
“Empty Handed”, not Empty Hearted!
Without scales re-weighing perceptions and found freed from ungraciously judging;
known purely as absent of Hatred outpoured and filled rather with CHRIST’s endless loving;
so be ye HIServant bound only…
by our SAVIOUR’s compassionate
Stay thee humbled, Contrition’s example; always broken beyond Controversy!
Then HIS fullness of Joy shall o’erwhelm you; well freeing your soul to be righteous.
Perfection completed securely…
by Love’s finished work; far from things CHRIST-less!
So devoid of comparative threads, yea, without any Fleshly assessments;
outstretch then, without Self’s agenda, your unoccupied hands…
as HE sent them!
As HIServant reminded hourly to come to others as HE came to us — selflessly and open-handed,
Devotional: Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
An “empty-handed” approach is commonly known of in the sakes arena as “coming without an agenda.
When someone sees the poor and has negative thoughts regarding welfare, “leeching off the system”, lazy folk who are undriven and unpurposed, then tell me. What are their hands “full” of?
Is it the compassion of the SAVIOUR? Are they bringing undiluted, unaltered love in its purest form to sincerely help out?
In this example, their hands are like those of a hoarder. Full…of themselves and their possessions. Full…of contempt for another soul whom GOD choose to walk on a path with far less.
Sadly there are countless social “Christians” and non-Christians alike who view the act of giving as a prime opportunity to unload their burdens of guilt.
Such errant souls “see” the beaten man whom the Samaritan stopped to help and focus more on outdoing his charity for their own glory.
We cannot serve like CHRIST tells us to until we empty our hands of agenda, desired outcome, diluted intentions and all things “self”.
1 Peter 3:8 “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”
So preaching most of all to my own soul and these stained hands, serve them “empty-handed” and “whole-hearted” for HIS NAMESAKE! HE knows and well rewards the heart’s intent! All Glory to ELOHIM!
Amen and amen!
