Waiting to be Seated!

James‬ ‭1:9-10‬ “Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.”
‭‭

Waiting to be Seated!

Per the WORD of the LORD, may another uplift you. Let earthly position mean nothing compared…

to the place which our GOD has prepared within Glory!

Thus focused on where HIS will wants us to wait, so we solely desire directional seating. Then shall we meet with HIS sovereign designs!

How perfect those plans which HIS thoughts have unveiled! Oh how gracious HIS hands — resurrecting our steps! So, with great expectations, Beloved…follow HIS!

As HIServant waiting, while serving with you, for HIS call…”Come up here!”,

Devotional: Luke 14:7-9 “When JESUS noticed how the guests chose the places of honor, HR told them a parable: 8 “When you are invited to a wedding banquet, do not sit in the place of honor, in case someone more distinguished than you has been invited. 9 Then the host who invited both of you will come and tell you, ‘Give this man your seat.’ And in humiliation, you will have to take the last place.”

Here no one waited to be seated. Today don’t we see the same just with our daily routines? Everyone tries to get things done first, fast and efficiently and all those efforts conflict with others also like-minded.

These next two verses make this clearer. “10 But when you are invited, go and sit in the last place, so that your host will come and tell you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in front of everyone at the table with you. 11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

No news flash here but this “me” generation is in overdrive. Media tells us through countless devices to get more, have more, and such because “you’ve earned it!” We’re told that giving up the seat of honor and recognition is weakness and that everything has to be connected with you at the top.

No clearer references exist than those in HIS WORD. Subtle Pride and Selfishness are despised traits. Let your “Yes” be “Yes” and vice versa. No duplicity. Nothing done being double minded with false charity or fake “giving up the seat” to someone else when you have another, prideful agenda.

James 4:10 “Humble yourselves in the presence of the LORD, and HE will exalt you!”

Therefore, submit to the LORD and HE shall lift you up! The Seat of Honor we long for will be obtained once we reach Heaven and hear “Well done, good and faithful servant! Enter into the Joy of your LORD!”

What a placement that will be! So let us set our eyes on things and seats above, waiting with eager expectation for our glorious HOST and KING!

Amen and amen!
