By Majesty’s Measure!

Proverbs 16:11 “A just balance and scales are the LORD’s; all the weights in the bag are HIS work.”

By Majesty’s Measure!

None can see their next steps till they reach this day’s battle;

none can hear HIS commands if still straying…so distant.

Till CHRIST’s campfire is joined, then the soul wanders aimless;

unable to rest till HIS WORD they draw near.

But when one cannot sense HIM beside their frail framework

or when everything in you feels chained by Life’s shadows;

…then stand with HIS NAME on your lips, shouting boldly!

“LORD, quicken my breath! Teach me Heavenly Fear!

Grant YOUR SPIRIT’s inhaling! LORD, draw us from doubting!

Breathe solely within till our souls — breathless — soaring!

Yea lead us upon these, YOUR paths, until scrolled are the

clouds then rolled back and “Well done!” do hear!

As HIServant indwelt, compelled and propelled to lift HIS praise,

Devotional: Romans 3:10-11 “As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks GOD.”

These two verses in Romans 3 along with verse 23 “…for all have sinned and fallen short (found lacking in our flesh under HIS measure) all add up to this fact. We cannot save ourselves. We cannot fool HIM either though we’re quite capable of deceiving ourselves. Consider Proverbs 12:2.

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the heart.”

So we cry out to GOD through CHRIST the SON for HIS lifting up of our souls! HE looks down from Heaven and sees whose hearts are bent towards HIM. Psalms 53:2 “GOD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek GOD.”

So we echo the cry of Psalms 119:36 “Turn my heart to YOUR testimonies and not to fables!”

Aren’t all our efforts, those actions of self, as filthy rags? Isaiah 64:6 “We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.”

By grasping HIS WORD daily, we join HIS watchfires, HIS campfires before battle. Those daily attacks which demand we compromise, turn back, try to add our own works to HIS finished work and to elevate self over our SAVIOUR. But GOD! AS IF!!

As if that were even a choice we would consider! Still we do sin and fall short of HIS Glory but! HIS shed blood (death, burial and complete resurrection) have made us worthy and righteous in HIS sight!

HE brings us THROUGH the valley of the shadows of Death! HIS breath first gave life to us and the HOLY SPIRIT was breathed into us as our Comforter on our individual paths which HE aligns with HIS ways.

Job 23:10 “But HE knows the way that I take: when HE has tried me, I shall come forth as gold!” Only by Majesty’s measure then are we approved by GOD, a workman who no longer needs to be ashamed!

2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to show yourself approved unto GOD, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD of Truth!”

So! Though the road be unlevel, filled with bumps, potholes and countless obstacles, HE SHALL bring us forth as pure gold! As we study the Bible daily, drinking milk AND eating meat, we will carefully study without pride or agenda!

What privilege is ours and what a sacred joy…to serve HIM relentlessly till the Hour HE lifts us up to our Heavenly home!

Watch then expectantly, breathing in daily HIS words of Life and exhaling them on the broken just as quickly! Then to hear those blessed words in Matthew 25:23!

“HIS master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your MASTER!”

Come LORD JESUS! Amen and amen!
