Priceless Pressures!
The tighter the screws turn
the space inbetween
is found ever decreasing
till ground to a halt.
Here Life’s pressures mounting
cause thoughts of the end
where one’s breath is cut short so
to set their soul free.
But Endurance is ours
though demons persist
since the LORD is our SHEPHERD
WHO makes our ways straight!
Thus secured till HE comes
so shall we press on
till as diamonds transformed
in HIS hands we become!

Devotional: 1 Corinthians 6:!1 “And such were some of you. (Various forms of sinners) But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the LORD JESUS and by the SPIRIT of our GOD.”
TRANSFORMED!! And not by simply breathing but by being pressed out, if you will. To get the oil out of a seed, it must be pressed down. Olive oil is one such example. No greater place than the Garden of Gethsemane.
Here we have a small grove consisting of eight ancient olive trees located at the foot of the Mount of Olives just outside the Old City of Jerusalem.
Its name derives from the Aramaic word gat semãnê, which means ‘olive press’ and suggests the presence of a mill in ancient times.
In this garden, JESUS sweat drops of blood because of the pressure placed upon HIM…including the sins of the whole world. HE was pressed as a pure sacrifice, HIS blood as the pure oil if you will…that cleanses us eternally!
So we endure because as we read in Hebrews 12:2-3!!

“Let us fix our eyes on JESUS, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, WHO for the joy set before HIM endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of GOD.

Consider HIM WHO endured such hostility from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
LORD JESUS, how grateful are we for your perfect endurance…for our souls! How thankful our hearts are and how full our praise to YOU because YOU didn’t shrink back from the Cross!
Indeed YOUR pressing hand over and around our lives is welcome as YOUR preparation of our souls for eternity continues.
So we pray YOUR will be done and evidently seen in our lives so that we do not cease to give YOU all the honor and glory!
