Devotional: The most commonly used Hebrew words יִרְאַ֣ת (yir’aṯ) and יִרְאַ֣ת (p̄aḥaḏ) describe fear of GOD/YAHWEH.
Yesterday the man called Francis who, by self proclamation, denies being the vicar of CHRIST. This mortal clay vessel rejects fearing the NAME above all names, just as his entire tenure as “pope” has proven.
But make no mistake. Our GOD is not mocked. There is both wrath and reward with HIS coming!”
Revelation 11:18 “And the nations were enraged, and YOUR wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward YOUR bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear YOUR NAME, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
I see the NAME of the LORD coming with pure Justice to pour out HIS wrath on those who, like Francis…put their title above CHRIST. And, hallelujah!
We see HIM coming with eternal reward for all who fear and worship HIS NAME…in SPIRIT and in Truth!
So take heart with the words of Ecclesiastes 7:18.
“It is good that you grasp one thing and also not let go of the other; for the one who fears GOD comes forth with both of them.”
So we stretch upwards, grasping tightly HIS promise of eternal life to come WHILE clinging equally and gratefully to HIS wonderful NAME…with both loving Fear and reverent trembling!
