The “Broken” Discovery!

1 Peter 5:10 “But may the GOD of all grace, who called us to HIS eternal glory by CHRIST JESUS, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and…settle you.”

The “Broken” Discovery

What a wonderful gift being broken becomes when one “runs” to LORD’s outstretched hands;

from the valley of Death

with all Pride laid to rest…

where one’s Self has been crushed into sand!

Although suffering here, on this surface of Life; ‘tis expected for those whom HE died.

For each soul of CHRIST’s seed

is giv’n works to complete:

Thus we’re blessed as we walk in GOD’s plans!

So those footprints we walk in; retreading our pasts…often do not see HIS till we’re broken.

Then stumbling “off course”

we fall into the LORD’s!

Thus how priceless this gift…Love’s promotion!

As HIServant awaiting HIS heavenly promotion into Glory,

Devotional: Hebrews 12:5-6 “And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons:

“My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the LORD, and do not lose heart when HE rebukes you. 6 For the LORD disciplines the one HE loves, and HE chastises every son HE receives.”

So the Prodigal son and Paul on the road to Damascus stories are just two of the countless “blessed to be broken” which we find in CHRIST’s WORD.

As we read in 1 Peter 5:10, when HIS intended trials shape and reform us, we are soon “settled” into HIS footprints again!

Spurgeon: “A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials.”

So this “discovery” is ours as a blessing when we replant our steps within HIS!

When we take each trial as a closer step towards HIM and each broken experience as another reminder of HIS healing heart…

…then we can rejoice in our earthly sufferings knowing full well that HE DOES “…work all things together for our good.” (Romans 8:28)

Amen and amen.
