Psalm 139:14 “I praise YOU, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are YOUR works; my soul knows it very well.”
Just as I am!
As she gazed at her reflection on transparent, golden streets…
familiar feelings once again met with her gaze.
While ever focused on the LORD within Attention’s timeless span, yet this pause embraced her soul…with Memory’s hand.
As before, it seemed, so was she yet before her — paved — this mirror…with HIS image seen as one HE’d made her in!
Then! Through eyes reflecting CHRIST’s, gazing back with such Compassion, there was glimpsed her face when she was “yet to be!”
There she witnessed her beginning in HIS thoughts…and then exclaimed, “Uniquely HE made me just as I am!”
As HIServants uniquely made and still exactly as HE is,
Devotional: Genesis 1:27 “So GOD created man in HIS OWN image, in the image of GOD HE created him; male and female HE created them.”
One of the beautiful mysteries that yet remains and can only be answered once in Heaven is this….
“How are we made uniquely here on earth and then transformed along with the Body into HIS perfect image as HE is…and still be unique when HE is no respecter of persons?”
Meaning: Our abilities as well as HIS sovereignly allowed constraints influence our identities, our perceptions of who we are and what our purposes are.
But will all those memories follow us into Glory?
Revelation 21:4 “HE will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
So no bad memories nor recollections will remain. But what good ones will be yet archived in our memory banks?
Listen to what John saw and heard in Heaven in Revelation 6:9–10. “I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of GOD and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, ‘How long, Sovereign LORD, holy and true, until YOU judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?’”
So the memory of injustice remains until the end of the Tribulation and the conclusion of the Marriage Supper with the Lamb.
So consider again Colossians 1:15. “HE is the image of the invisible GOD, the Firstborn of all creation.
We are HIS Creation, uniquely formed in HIS image. Only HE is GOD all powerful yet we also are in the image of THE invisible GOD, the only wise GOD our SAVIOUR!
Therefore! When we look at HIM in Heaven…we’ll see both HIS face and our own…in one! We can then shout, “I am…just as I AM!” Amen and amen!
