Closer than Yesterday!
Let YOUR NAME consume
what remains of Self
Till “Hid with CHRIST” —
between crimson letters.
Consume me then with
YOUR sovereign truth
and move me with
such pure conviction.
For this battle lukewarm
daily rages…
with GOD’s good — apart
— from “self labeled” works.
So “Credit worthy”,
(whatever I call them)
then of “perfect error”
must be suspected!
Now my endeavor
must shorten that gap…
until every movement
draws closer to CHRIST.

Devotional: Psalm 145:18 “The LORD is near to all who call upon HIM, to all who call upon HIM in truth.
Well knowing our own frailties, isn’t it just good common sense to call on our CREATOR, reverencing THE GOD of all Creation? Yes!
Hebrews 7:19 “(for the Law made nothing perfect), and
on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near
to GOD.”
Even though we know our works pale in comparison to HIS finished work, still! We press on, clinging to Humility, being re-reminded of Contrition.
The goal then isn’t to focus on the gap but on how CHRIST becomes clearer in our sight as we draw nearer to HIM!
