Loving Nineveh!

Luke 5:31 “JESUS answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”

Loving Nineveh!

Loving Nineveh!

The Well need no doctor.

The Sick may not know.

These then who dispense

such “physician” distaste…

…are such without CHRIST having none of Pain’s symptoms,

till the Hour appointed when

their gains become Loss.

For the Victory is CHRIST’s

and HE heals HIS own!

Those then shunning HIS touch

shall from Sin’s disease — die.

So come to the HEALER;

Draw near — bring the scoffers!

By hand lead those boasting

they don’t need your DOCTOR!

Yes! Intercede wholly as HIS, WHOSE transforming,

still trembles your soul…

with each breath HE creates!

As HIServant commissioned and zealously recharged with you

to bring GOD’s healing words to the world,

Devotional: “Loving Nineveh!” is a very purposeful title. It’s a blunt reminder to us to love others, especially the most sick amongst us.

“Sick” in this sense meaning absent of GOD’s presence. “Unwell” in this context meaning those without HIS nutrients — found only in HIS WORD!

So this portion of humanity is a vast and growing group who is at odds with JESUS.

This “segment of society” is filled with souls so overrun with Sin’s disease and disinterest in anything related to and including our LORD GOD.

But!! Matthew 9:11-13 “And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to HIS disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

When JESUS heard that, HE said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

Did you recall what Jonah said about the Ninevites? In Jonah 3 and 4 we see his heart. We pick it up where he’s preached to the Ninevites and they repented.

“But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was angry.

And he prayed to the LORD and said, “O LORD, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country?  That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshis; for I knew that YOU are a gracious GOD and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.

Now, LORD, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live.”

Directly: So do we “filter” the Good News based on who we feel deserves to be saved?”

Directly: None of us deserve HIS grace, do we?

The Ninevites were indeed a vile people with horrific practices and evil beliefs. They were the worst and Jonah wanted them to pay for their sins without a shred of Mercy.

So then, how many different people, peoples, strangers, beliefs, languages, etc…cause resentment in our flesh?

Long story short, we MUST bring the most glorious medicine to the most sick and that is…the message of CHRIST.

We were chosen as HIS messengers to show mercy…just  as we have been given mercy.

Matthew 10:8 “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”

Proverbs 11:24-25 “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be blessed, and one who waters will himself be watered.”

So, as one Body, let us GIVE HIS healing…as we have been healed!

Amen and amen!
