Philippians 3:20 “But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a SAVIOUR from there, the LORD JESUS CHRIST…”
Would you save a page of music over sparing the life of its author? Would you favor receiving the LORD’s grace alone…without sharing it also with others?
Would you cling to chains of self service more than giving with self sacrifice? Would you care to continue this life’s temporal perks rather than leave it all…to see CHRIST?
Though sounding as some broken record, we shall all surely “stand” before GOD. Some for eternal life’s joy as HIS children whilst others forever…are outcasts and lost.
Decide then this day whom to follow! Your “Self” or our SAVIOUR — so choose! I pray then HIS call you hear clearest of all so that you long for Heaven…not here!
As HIServant delivering this lens cleaner directive from HIS WORD,
Devotional: Matthew 6:33 “But seek
first the kingdom of GOD and HIS right-eousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
It’s all about focus.
Remembering where we destined. And since our CREATOR is timeless, remembering WHERE we came from.
WHO we came from!
I see saints still longing to be seen and heard here within the context of Today…more so than being heard in Glory.
Look at the KJV translation as such. “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the SAVIOUR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST…”
Our conversation! And WHERE we to be expectant of “being”.
We belong in Heaven and longing, even yearning for HIS gates is not only joyous for us, I submit it is expected OF us.
Consider NKJV Luke 18:7-8 “And shall GOD not avenge HIS own elect who cry out day and night to HIM, though HE bears long with them? I tell you that HE will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the SON of MAN comes, will HE really find faith on the earth?”
Will HE find HIS people (those who are both Jews and Gentiles) expectant of HIS return, eagerly watching and waiting…
…or more engaged, involved, enthralled, and in awe of this life?
You are, I pray, as am I. Not focused ultimately nor mostly as a saint here but elsewhere! A saint and citizen of Heaven! Focus, Beloved, for HE comes!
Amen and amen.
