When fragrant aromas fade and sweet sights are now found soured, so Faith’s reservoirs declining show one’s focus to be off track.
Though this long ago noted and also “well known”, the paths of misguided servants are equally “well littered” with burnt out candle holders, empty oil jars and unmet expectations.
Yet such were the zealots, once on fire for CHRIST. Such were the human megaphones who fell silent because their “set deadlines” for HIS return both came and went.
Now their condition is worse off than at the beginning when they first believed. We see this in 2 Peter 2:20.
“If indeed they have escaped the corruption of the world through the knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, only to be entangled and overcome by it again, their final condition is worse than it was at first.”
Should then your view be clouded by despair and despondency, check your watches. Look at the timepiece of this world. It’s Israel.
Given the disbanding of their government and the heralding of their soon to be announced “messiah”…then we know the Hour is quite near.
As such, NOW is the time to pray to and lift praise to HIM most! NOW is the time to share the Gospel and rest in the truth that HE alone provides the increase!
1 Corinthians 3:7 “So neither the one planting nor the one watering is anything, but only GOD, the ONE giving growth.”
So set your clocks by the zeal of Israel who now chants in their streets, “We want our messiah now!”
And soon their false saviour will be revealed but only AFTER…only AFTER we meet JESUS in the clouds: WHO lifts us up to go home! AFTER HE takes the RESTRAINER, the HOLY SPIRIT…out of the way. (2 Thessalonians 2:6-8)
So set your internal clocks by HIS external timepiece, Israel, because…as the Church and Bride of CHRIST…we need to be watching the season! It’s our wedding!
Therefore our peace comes from knowing HIS WORD and understanding that HE created Time itself! So HE will be right on time as HE set it…and not when we “expect it!”
