John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, MY peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
CHRIST’s Present Peace!
Basking before HIM means those in the light of WHO CHRIST is…are at rest. Reclining in HIS presence, as such, finds us in perfect peace…unburdened at last.
Although that glorious hour is still pending, that awesome instant before HIS long awaited return, such rapturous Joy is ours, even now!
By diligently meditating in and on GOD’s words, HIS manna feeds and sustains us.
HE satisfies our spiritual hunger and calms our stormy seas when we cast our fears overboard and keep our eyes upon HIM.
Breathing in then is no more rapid and shallow. Inhaling both deep and cleansing oxygen thus alleviates concerns HIS SPIRIT ministers to our own.
Again, the prerequisite to such wondrous basking, is choosing WHERE to rest. Should we be found in the space of our own strength, such solace will escape our senses.
But if, as wholly surrendered and broken vessels in HIS service, we’re always seen WITH JESUS, casting all our cares on our SAVIOUR, then!
Reclining becomes a present reality and not some distant, future Hope. By truly resting in HIS arms we then provide a witness to all, most importantly, ourselves.
Shown then to all who doubt, fret, worry and fear…is HIS righteous peace which passes our understanding!
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to GOD; 7 and the peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through CHRIST JESUS.”
So my prayer for such souls and self as well…is to stand steadfastly on HIS promises and rest surely in HIS arms!
