“Through the glass darkly”
our view in this life;
till that blessed appointment
when CHRIST lifts our veil!
When face-to-face standing
we are at the last
with our sovereign Creator
and Bridegroom — betrothed!
Beloved before hourglass sands
ever fell
so we are by our SAVIOUR, eternally HIS!
Now breathlessly longing,
rest your head in HIS hands
as our veil rises surely!
Behold then, your KING!
