Prayer’s Pausing

Psalm 119:147 “I rise before dawn and cry for help; I hope in YOUR words!”

Prayer’s Pausing

This time upon CHRIST

— grant Surrender.

Yield ye equally bent

of both spirit and soul.

Kneeling wholly prostrate,

found face down conceding;

HIS words find us then

well attending HIS WORD.

Hear — in silence — HIS voice

thus instructing your steps!

You whose binding of will

now lays — forfeit — as well.

By CHRIST’s strong compulsions,

press into HIS pavements;

forsake every other path

forged by your hands.

Then set free indeed on

each road set before you…

shall Movement’s resurgence

return you to service!

As HIServant in prayer before standing today,

Whitney

Devotional: Psalms 5:3 “O LORD, in the morning YOU hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for YOU…and watch!”

In the early hours before truly waking, thoughts rush through our minds as to the day ahead.

Often pushed from behind by these multiple tasks pending…our prayers then hurriedly press forward without reverently pausing.

Psalm 90:14 “Satisfy us in the morning with YOUR steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”

Fervent communication with our loving CREATOR must then be every days’ precedence…and Priority!

Psalm 59:16 “But I will sing of YOUR strength; I will sing aloud of YOUR steadfast love in the morning. For YOU have been to me a Fortress and a Refuge in the day of my distress!”

We cling this morning to YOUR WORD kneeling now within YOUR wings — expectant of Glory!

Amen and amen!
