Psalm 103:15 “As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.”
Spanning the Grass!
The LORD stands before
as we cling beneath;
At HIS feet — prostrate felled.
Not in terror but awe
since CHRIST knows our names
and claims us as HIS.
What then need we more?
in return, give your hearts
for one’s “blade of grass” span!
As HIServant aware of the Hour, overwhelmed by HIS Love and set on outpouring this lifetime in HIS service
Devotional: 1 Peter 1:24 “…because “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers and its flower falls away…”
“Spanning the Grass” then is like “Spanning the Globe”. It’s going everywhere HE sends us, for HIS NAMEsake, serving relentlessly BECAUSE…
…this Hour is beyond short! So many need to waken to serve out the lifespan
of their “blade of grass”.
We’re here to be spent in HIS service, instead of our own.
Spoken most of all to remind myself, our time here is a dash between birth and returning to the CREATOR of all the grass of the Field.
Think of it this way. The bes has no knowledge of its very short lifespan
but is most always seen flying quickly, accomplishing the internal instructions GOD gave it.
As a grass-like flower in the field, so each of us flourish…being cross-pollinated by the faith of others.
The analogy also being that since green
is the easiest light to see…so we must let HIS light shine through us on them!!
As others look for GOD to send encouragement and help, we must use this time to build the green growth and spiritual Life of those sown around us.
Fade not then in Silence nor Apathy, oh Blade! Grow relentlessly for HIM till this world fades from view! Amen?
