Glance Casting Abstinence!

James 4:6 “But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “GOD opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Glance Casting Abstinence!

When the weight of the world breaks the back of the Broken and when Healing seems distant like reaching the stars…

When Hope from the hearts of each victim feels drained then the moment has come to change your physician!!

For the help which they give is immediately “heavy” and given Life’s fractures, both “hairline” and worse…

Their off-casted glances and words fall upon us thus crushing the Lost and depressing the Found.

So my four-sided question asks: “Which are or which aren’t you? Whose are or who aren’t you…to CHRIST?”

A Bible believer who lightens one’s walk or a shadow bound soul who heaps onto one’s load?

So “the look” which we give to another of Faith then might label us HIS but whose labors…ADD labor!

Then that member still lost yet whose sight bids souls “Welcome!” appears to give greater the love of our LORD!

So of all these four quadrants, I beg you, oh Self, to display HIS compassionate heart…through each gaze!

As HIServant reopening the eyes of my heart to show HIS,

Devotional: Proverbs 6:16-17a “There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to HIM: haughty eyes….”

The VERY FIRST listed is that proud look, that haughty glance, that spiteful gaze.

Proverbs 11:2 “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”

And such “critical, passing glances” are:

…the ones given to someone going too slow ahead of you for 10 miles and then finally you get to pass them.

…the ones that are “shot over” at someone whose comments “sound” offensive.

…the ones displayed when someone suggests a solution that’s simpler than ours AND…it’s approved.

These are usually accompanied by an eye roll of varying lengths and are nearly without question…always contrary to GOD’s loving glance or gaze to us.

Proverbs 8:13 “To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.”

Yes, there are times of correction but given Calvary’s beautiful and thorough cleansing, GOD only sees us through CHRIST’s righteousness!

Hallelujah! HE looks on you and me with love as we daily surrender to HIM!

Then oh Self! ABSTAIN from such Glance Casting Errors for HE looks upon us with perfect Compassion…ready to bring us HOME!

Amen and amen!
