Luke 17:32 “Remember Lot’s wife!”
Passing the Past backwards!
If one went back in Time,
fixing every mistake…
only more would occur.
For all the Good given,
and saving of feelings;
of unnumbered rescues
and words purely said…
…they’d all surely vanish!
Then! Where would we be?
So don’t go back in Time;
don’t unsave those Redeemed!
Moving forward in union,
let us never strive past
These moments to give
others all of GOD’s best!
Devotional: Luke 9:62 “JESUS said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of GOD.”
What a forward thinking verse! HIS timing for things cannot be undone, unseen nor unraveled!
To restate one verse from the poem: “So don’t go back in Time; don’t unsave those Redeemed!”
The cost of time travel (backwards), even if you could fix everything you wanted to, means that all the good that had been done will also be undone.
That’s why we are limited beings to the present. Knowing the enemies of the Cross are countless, the one thing they’d love to do is erase Calvary.
But GOD! That’s never happened and never can because HE alone is above Time. All the Time!
The Past cannot be truly re-lived; only replayed in a memory…and sometimes too often for our own good.
Therefore my steadfast encouragement to you is at its simplest — non-generic!
Don’t be widely focused on your overall worldly day. Pass the past backwards — in favor of this Present’s good.
Instead! Cling to Time’s CREATOR and embrace HIS designs for you — both in this moment and through tomorrow!
Amen and amen!
