“All to JESUS I Surrender”

Revelation 21:4 “HE will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away!” Thank YOU, LORD!

“All to JESUS I Surrender”

A suffering child
a mother heartbroken
The spouse of a grandparent
weeping alone.
A father near death
a friend who’s gone missing.
The heartache of learning a pet
has left home.

Though short is this sampling
of sorrows at present…
Yet Hope springs eternal because
of our GOD.
For HE DOES understand
and HIS hands hold our hearts.
Then! Give ALL to the LORD for
HE shall grant you rest!

As HIServant handing over every weight, toil, trial and loss to the only ONE WHO can mend me,

Devotional: Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.”

So we’ve gone through many losses, setbacks, burdens and such, haven’t we?

Descriptions of our pain include “Gut wrenching”, “shaken to our core”, “mind numbing”, “vicious” and “unrelenting” to name just a few.

And every earthly and natural source we have reached for hasn’t provided the heart rescue we’ve longed for.

There are compassionate, shared moments that others bring but when we’re alone at night or just lost in the day time…

…their present, healing help fades. That’s where GOD waits for us.

Having seen both my father and brother rushed instantly into Heaven, great outpourings of Care flooded in.

But the reality of what had happened and the immensity of their absence couldn’t be managed by myself as Time passed.

Even with the help of other human hands, the stark void still found me — crying out for relief.

So when GOD drew my brother back Home to Heaven shortly after High School, it was 5 years of unprocessed anguish that had gradually built up.

I was left with myself, still struggling to cope.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that for those who love GOD all things work together for good, for those who are called according to HIS purpose.”

But GOD! In my car one night, waiting to go to work at my third shift job, a song came on the radio. Right there HE broke me open with HIS healing blessings and peace…at last!

That song was Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel and the lines I want you to remember are these.

He hears a voice echoing, telling him, “Grab your things, I’ve come to take you home.”

Finally as the song closes, he relents and sings, “You can “keep my things”.

Just come and take me home!”

I just can’t adequately explain with words how GOD used that moment to change my life.

It was as if my brother had that conversation with our SAVIOUR and I cried deeply from my soul.

That sparked me to write more and here we are…encouraging each other to press in to JESUS WHO is The HEALER of our hearts and souls!

So look up expectantly for WHO is coming!

Romans 8:18 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

Amen and amen!
