In the “Here!” and “Now!”

Isaiah 43:18 “Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old.”

In the “Here!” and “Now!”

Past pastures are voids
which are barren.
“Things of old” are such
places, inactive of Life…
Unless someone
chooses to build on
such landscapes.
Then there one’s existence
will meet with Demise.

For “things former” are for lessons
learned but not meant to be
shaken, restored or revived.
GOD put them behind
us, those steps known as History.
so “Things Forward” can be
well realized!

Consequently, choose only those
views which fully embrace both
the “Here!” and the “Now!”
With Endurance, run
onward without looking back…
till CHRIST meets your face
…in the clouds!

As HIServant looking up because that’s where we’ll meet JESUS,

Devotional: Isaiah 43:19 “Behold,
I am about to do something
new; even now it is coming.
Do you not see it?

Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert!”

Every day our pasts try to become “Breaking News!” Rarely does one 24 hour period slip by without its whiny voice demanding attention.

“I saw this, they saw that, you aren’t worth HIM because you did that. “

And our life’s mirror reflects the past both ways. Both inwardly with reflection and outwardly for review.

Well known one liners such as “Don’t look back, you’re not going that way” and “Leave the past…in the past!” are good clichés to apply to our own lives.

Look at 1 Corinthians 13:12 “For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known!”

The past, although already defined, paints a dim and cloudy reflection because it’s meant to fade with time…so as not to overshadow the present.

What’s ahead for us is our service for others for Today….while we watch expectantly for our LORD GOD.

So serve relentlessly in the “Here!” and “Now!” since the past cannot be served to effect Change.

HE’s doing something new in you today because it’s HIS gift to us all called the present.

Our moment today to then live
and serve in…and not stand still,
looking backwards.

Amen? Yea, amen!
