Psalm 62:5 “Rest in GOD alone, my soul, for my hope comes from HIM!”
For Child-like Rest!

Truth be told, these
last few years,
she’d been looking
for the first…
back when Chaos had
no breath and her
Faith was newly
birthed.
To “when” as just
a child, she’d relinquished
“serving Self”…kneeling
down with Urgency
to give her life
to “someone else”.
Yea, to CHRIST WHO
knew her name from
Eternity — long past;
WHOSE drawing hands
retrieved her…crushing
satan’s darkened grasp.
Then with her heart
now quiet; without
words or thoughts
expressed…she went
back to being
childlike, regaining
all she’d missed!
So no matter then
Times’ passage,
irrespective of such
spans; just wait with
Silence — resting
in your LORD’s
Almighty Hands!
As HIServant thankfully reminded to seek HIM always with the heart of a child,

Devotional: Deuteronomy 33:12

“The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by HIM, WHO shelters him all the day long; and he shall dwell between HIS
shoulders.”
So this was penned about Benjamin, the youngest of Jacob. (Israel) But we can see the rest GOD gives us WHEN we choose to dwell with HIM.
WHEN we choose to sit in silence listening at our LORD’s feet, just as Mary did.
Luke 10:41-42 “Martha, Martha,” the LORD answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed — or indeed only one.
Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Yes! WHEN we stop telling HIM our requests and wait on HIS reply instead.
So when we feel distressed and unrested, then the expectation of devotions to prayerfully meet with GOD…is muted.
Perhaps the hardest activity during such chaotic moments is to just “Wait on the LORD!”
“With the heart of a child” can seem an impossible task given all the problems and losses which confront us hourly.
But Matthew 19:14 says, “But JESUS said, “Let the little children come to ME, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Once again! But GOD!
2 Chronicles 14:11 “LORD, it is nothing for YOU to help, whether with many or with those who have no power;
Help us O LORD our GOD, for we rest on YOU, and in YOUR NAME, we go against the multitude!”
Find your rest, oh my soul, in the stillness and quiet of HIS Presence…listening expectantly — with the heart of a child!”
Amen and amen!
