Pre-Damage Control!

Psalm 141:3 “Set a watch, O JEHOVAH, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.”

Pre-Damage Control!

Contempt is hardest to follow since it will not inspire nor bless.

Instead, with Corrosion, it jabs and erodes someone else whom they feel — incorrect.

So carefully filter and weigh every word well before speaking one.

For HIS heart hears our thoughts and relays them to GOD thus transmitting our REAL intentions.

So, to Self and each reader, speak quickly with humbled Compassion…

…so that caught are those darts birthed from careless remarks so no further harm comes from Pride’s actions.

As HIServant self filtering to serve best relentlessly,

Whitney

Devotional: Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”

Proverbs 8:13 “The fear of the LORD is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.”

James 4:6 “But HE gives more grace! Therefore it says, “GOD opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”

Galatians 6:3 “For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”

Grave advice for all to always consider!

Proactively and relentlessly filtering our thoughts before speaking means that we’re active in Pre-Damage Control.

One careless word spoken without restraint and then “doubled down on” / followed up with a careless sentence then creates a damaging action.

It’s a cascade of injury that Pride keeps pushing, unwilling to relent or take instruction.

So always spoken to myself most of all, guard my lips and grant me wisdom afresh today, LORD.

Romans 12:16 “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.”

May we each actively communicate YOUR love instead of our “best intentions.”

Amen and amen!
