John 8:47a “Whoever belongs to GOD hears the words of GOD…”
Exclusively Listening!
Stop talking AND
listening to Self.
Yea, refrain from
internal discussions.
Entertain further none
of such babblings
and remain as one
quietly held.
For! Our voice can
lead us astray…
as both often and
others it sidetracks.
Unable to soften the
blow of our words,
so what’s gotten are
steps — misplaced.
Such consequences
thus avoid by silently
abiding till HE speaks.
Then! Delighting in
HIS WORD’s instruction…
GOD’s guiding hand
shall lead our speech!

Devotional: Mark 4:24 “HE went on to say, “Pay attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and even more will be added to you.”
It’s far too easy to follow our own directions. Self is far too often solely… self-serving.
As such, “Read nothing into nothing” is a sincere suggestion to “less highly value” our own opinion.
Even so, the impact of our own prioritized choices can be greatly reduced by reading the HOLY BIBLE… without speaking over nor adding to HIS words.
But our minds tend to wander, or at least mine does…when there’s no sounds filling the void.
However! My own experience tells me to wait quietly as I read because HE will speak through Scripture.
Remember Isaiah 55:11 “So shall MY WORD be that goes forth out of MY mouth: it shall not return unto ME void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
So wait, I say, to Self most of all! Wait while holding your tongue and biting it — if need be.
Our GOD isn’t asleep or requiring of our assessment of any situation.
Psalm 24:4-5 “Show me YOUR ways, O LORD; Teach me YOUR paths.
5 Lead me in YOUR truth and teach me, for YOU are the GOD of my salvation; on YOU I wait all the day.”
As such, let us expectantly wait for HIS instructions with our bibles open…and our mouths closed.
