Proactively Pressing down the Mountain!

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Proactively Pressing down the Mountain!

Often pausing
displays to “the
Righteous”, let us
resend steps to
the Lost…

…from the mountain-
top heights to HIS
service. Yea, from
Worship to Prayer,
kneeling down.

From our hands
lifted high to clasped
tightly, so let us with
haste change
positions!

For the difference,
unlike lifting praises,
is there our hearts
learn to…best listen.

As HIServant often taking out every AirPod and EarBud to hear HIM best,

Whitney

Devotional: Psalm 99:5 “Exalt the LORD our GOD, and worship at HIS footstool — HE is holy.”

So! Question #1: Can we actually put either of those listening devices on the “spiritual part” of our hearts?

In truth, there’s not a single headphone in any form that can daily and physically be put inside as well as daily removed.

But worship and praise music often transport us each time we engage in lifting up HIS NAME through songs.

GOD ordained us to sing HIS praises as we read in Ephesians 5:19.

“…addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the LORD with your heart,”

Psalm 95:6 “Oh come, let us worship AND bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!”

In fact, I too have many favorites which are deep, worship songs. Through such we are brought into HIS presence.

Even so, as amazing and uplifting as music is, it’s a reaction to what we hear.

It’s a response which then leads us into HIS presence…just as a loving servant offering up a great sacrifice of praise.

But when the instrumentals cease, when the voices fade into Silence, then our outward reactions must be exchanged for inward readiness.

Sometimes we’re reading the Bible and pause to absorb what HE’s saying to us on each page.

Ultimately, we’re waiting to hear the voice of our LORD GOD and KING!

As such, our talking or singing should end so we can wait quietly.

Sometimes we struggle with stray Thoughts which cloud our hearing.

But!

With sincere patience, by turning off all other distractions…then HE WHO alone knows each hearts intentions…WILL reward each hearts’ bent knee and learning desire.

So by pressing in, once we’re committed to learning…we’re found to be proactive instead of reactive.

That’s why ministries which emphasize music over biblical study produce CHRISTians who hear the music most of all and not so much of GOD’s voice through HIS WORD.

Finally Question #2: Then given these two, which do you choose most and why?

2nd Timothy 2:15 “Carefully study to present yourself approved unto GOD, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly handling the WORD of Truth.”

Tipping my hand first with the above verse, both are regularly connected but!

Music cannot be allowed to take the place of serious study for that’s where HE longs for us to be.

Daily and tangibly growing, increasing in wisdom and knowledge regarding HIS WORD.

And that can’t happen on a steady diet and consumption of musical notes only or mostly.

Remember!! So it’s a two part process at the least. We must not neglect nor downplay our own daily study of HIS WORD.

Let’s devote the focus time needed by proactively reprioritizing our to-do lists!

Note: Let’s place hearing and listening for HIS voice higher than singing over HIM.

Then! By proactively pressing in with daily even sacrificial study….

…go joyfully tell the Lost every time HE leads us down the mountain!

Ephesians 6:19-20 “And also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,

…for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak!”

Go and do likewise for the Hour Is short!

Amen and amen.
