THE WORD is Truth!
Past confessions
of camouflaged
Weakness and Pride…
urge Death’s signature
stories be brought
back to Life…
…WHEN recited are
things which rekindle
dead sins. Then
those troubles again
plague our senses.
By words weighing
as burdens, so trip
all the Spiteful;
those spewing
Opinion…as if
it’s the Bible.
Since HIS ears are not
deaf to Dissension’s
Unrest…what must
then be done next is:
Repentance!
May GOD’s great
HOLY SPIRIT compel
every knee; May no
soul be excused nor
permitted to flee!
Both contrite and
rebroken, let all bow
to show HIM that
they only want the
LORD’s presence!

Devotional: Matthew 16:24 “Then JESUS told HIS disciples, “If anyone would come after ME, let him DENY himself and take up his cross and follow ME.”
The line in the first verse really struck me after completing the poem part of this devotional. I.e. “Death’s signature stories”.
These “dead accounts” are often revived because we either refuse to let go of the past…or we don’t want to go forward in CHRIST…or most sadly, both.
Although “It’s not about me!” is a popular phrase, it does more lip service than show actual surrender.
But we only plague ourselves by clinging to past bonds as identity items…AS IF we are our chains!
We aren’t! Praise the LORD for that truth! HE is all truth and as HE is the WORD, the WORD is all truth as well.
So we must not permit our own negativity shipwreck the faith of others struggling nearby.
We cannot be allowed to spew Opinion and camouflage Fact to suit our own narrative.
Luke 9:23 “And HE said to all, “If anyone would come after ME, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow ME.”
Therefore, oh Self! Bend the heart and the knee quickly!
Again 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to
show yourself approved unto GOD,
a workman ( a servant, a fellow
believer) who doesn’t need to be
ashamed….rightly dividing the
WORD of Truth”…WHO IS TRUTH!
When we remind ourselves of the comparison between Creation and our CREATOR…it makes the choice quite simple.
As HE gave me to write two decades ago for the back of the CrossRoads Trilogy books,
“Choose you this day whom you
shall follow. Choose you this day to
whom you shall bow down. Self or
SAVIOUR, you or YAHWEH,
Creation or CREATOR. CHOOSE!”
CHOOSE to surrender and serve CHRIST, the PERFECT and HOLY WORD of Truth!
