At the Banqueting Table!
Come to GOD’s WORD though crippled you feel; Sit in the seat of HIS favor.
A prodigal who cannot run any more; yea! Linger with HIM in HIS love. Yes, wait at this banqueting table!
Then be served and well-fed by GOD’s WORD; even CHRIST…as you open the Bible.
Feel HIS spiritual healing refilling your soul till you walk, nay…until you are running!
Then bring others to the LORD’s supper!

Devotional: Psalm 81:10 “For it was I, the LORD your GOD, WHO rescued you from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will FILL IT with good things.”
When our mother called us for lunch or dinner, we knew that was feeding time.
Most often, in our house anyway, we would hurry downstairs to the table to fill our hungry bellies.
Feeding our Faith in CHRIST then requires that same display of urgency.
To be known as zealous for GOD’s Holy WORD, one must be constantly at it and in it.
Sadly, spiritual “fast food” devotions like even this one, can be misused as distractions…
…where one believes they’re getting all they want at that time when they’re not even getting what they need.
Again, we unconsciously draw others from HIS WORD by daily marketing such “fast food” substitutions.
The very nutrients we each need come from eating full course, well studied meals with JESUS.
The best “vitamins” gained come from what mom always told us to do. “Take time and chew your food.”
How true! If a passage seems difficult, keep chewing. If it’s hard still to understand, read the footnotes about similar verses.
Romans 5:5 “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly GOD loves us because HE has given us the HOLY SPIRIT to FILL our hearts with HIS love.”
Simply put then in this late hour, I encourage all to come AND STAY at the Bible’s banqueting table.
Then go! Invite others be filled too by opening the Scriptures WITH them!
Feed us anew today, LORD JESUS!
