1 Corinthians 1:9 “GOD is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST our LORD.”
For Fellowship’s Sake!

Carrying these broken pieces reminds me of plans from my past which had failed…
Where personal choice proved to be very wrong and Regret stood as what had prevailed.
So thank HIM for reminders that “cut to the quick” beyond callouses forged by Pride’s thoughts!
Let’s confess then our errors for Fellowship’s sake and rejoice, oh Redeemed child of GOD!
As a fellow child of GOD along with you, eager to see our CREATOR,
Whitney
Devotional: 1 John 1:3 “…what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us;

…and indeed our fellowship is with the FATHER, and with HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST.”
1 John 1:5-7 “This is the message we have heard from HIM and announce to you, that GOD is Lighg, and in HIM there is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with HIM and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;
but if we walk in the Light as HE HIMSELF is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of JESUS HIS SON cleanses us from all sin.”
We live to serve the LORD in all things.
But our old nature always finds a way to sin each day.
Sadly we offer so little resistance at times through Life.
Why? Because the callouses on our hands have numbed the cuts which our sins cause.
But GOD! Thank GOD!
While we’re eternally secured by CHRIST’s full and finished work,
Our heart’s still long to again embrace a blessed “right standing” with GOD.
So “Repentance” whenever we sin after faith in CHRIST…ISN’T because we doubt HIS eternally perfect sacrifice.
Not at all!
HIS redemptive and perfect power is endless, Hallelujah!
We’re forever “redeemed by the blood of the LAMB!”
HE exclusively and wholly paid our sin debt for all time without end.
So! Because it’s impossible to add to what HE supernaturally did, we must daily focus on walking closer with HIM.
It’s for sweet Fellowship’s sake then that we acknowledge any sin through humbled Confession.
It’s for closer Fellowship’s sake then that we daily and reverently bow down before HIM.

Else those sin hardened callouses will build up one’s pride and draw back their steps from HIS side.
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Paul (once Saul) knew that he was redeemed. Yet he struggled with sin.
Look at Romans 7. Lets focus on verses 22-25.
“For I delight in the law of GOD, in my inner being,
23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.
24 Oh wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
25 But thanks be to GOD through JESUS CHRIST our LORD!
So then, I myself serve the law of GOD with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.”
Therefore!
Repentance is the ongoing personal removal of Self Pride, complacency and lukewarm-ism to be closest to HIM!
Remind us, oh GOD, so that we remain humble, contrite and those who tremble at YOUR WORD! (Isaiah 66:2)
Rejoice now Beloved, since CHRIST paid it all!
Walk daily then, sharing needful heart confessions with GOD,
to adjust our footprints CLOSER with HIS.
Amen and amen.
